Built in Barcelona, Spain, Bultaco motorcycles were exported throughout the world. Their largest market ultimately became the USA, allowing aspiring riders to purchase super competitive motorcycles that were ready to race.

Bultaco began its life as a builder of road-racing motorcycles, with the introduction of their first motorcycle, the 125cc Bultaco Trala. They expanded their lineup with other motorcycles such as the Sherpa T (trials), the Astro (flat tracker) and the Matador (trail bike), that provided more targeted approaches to specific types of races.
