I know it’s never advisable to listen to music while driving, but am just curious to know if it is illegal to ride a motorbike in the UK with headphones on.

Who cares what the law says regarding this. It is none of their business if you ask me. Where I live there is a law against tying your alligator to a public lamp post. The safety nazis can take a flying leap on this one. Just be stealthy about it and do what you want to do. What matters with repressive laws like this is not getting caught. Earbuds under your helmet is the way to go. Headphones will give you away.

I am a new rider and had taken a rider course. I am planning on getting a sportsbike is this a good choice for me?Is used better or new one?

It’s a good idea to get a used bike as your first.
As your confidence level rises, you’ll want to up grade to a larger engine size – then you can buy new.
You’ll recoup most of your money selling the used bike.
Once a new bike leaves the showroom floor, it’s value will drop 00
A good starter sportbike is a Kawasaki 250 Ninja

Brainrotting EXTRAS: Crossing a Colombian bridge – Overland Motorcycle Adventure BMW F650 GS Dakar

This clip was shot in the South of Colombia after four days of torrential rain. I was riding from Tierradentro to San Agustin and had to cross this slippery and swaying bamboo bridge with my bike fully loaded because the regular road bridge had collapsed or washed away. The river water was a matter of inches beneath me, and I wasn’t happy about making the crossing but some Colombians at the entrance to the bridge encouraged me to attempt it. Question by Tom J: Best Motorbike to get at 18 years old for Motorway use?
I’m now at Uni and am thinking of getting a motorbike to use to pop home (140miles), using mostly motorways.
What bike should I get, considering that I am restricted by my age.
I would prefer a classic bike really, and nothin too expensive.

Check out the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 – has that nice classic cruiser style and engine is just right for cruising long distances…

If you are into classic British bikes (like me) check out the Triumph Bonneville – they are great looking bikes and perform very well

If the 900 is too expencive, you can look at Yamaha’s line up and try the 650 V Star Classic or Custom – they are great bikes too and very low on maintenance…
