i might get a cbr or something in a year. il be 17 so i could only drive a 125cc. could i get like a 600cc and have a restrictor on it and still be legal to ride it on the road? will it damage the engine?

Let me ask why can you only drive a 125cc?

I got a 600 as my first bike at 18 (i’m 21 now) and in my opinion it was PERFECT.

Not too much power, but enough to get you out of danger (cars coming into your lane etc)

Is there a law i’m not aware of?

sport mini bikes are not street legal. if you get caught by the police riding a sport mini bike on the street you will get a ticket and the bike will be impounded.

Yes, there is a difference. If your motorcycle has a wet clutch (most do) you can only use motorcycle oil.
The difference is on the back of the bottle. There is a ring printed on the back and in the ring it says “energy conserving”. That means that there are additives that may affect how your motorcycles clutch works.
I’ve heard of people using car oil with no problems but if I were you, I would spend the extra money on motorcycle specific oil.

i am doing the mongol rally and i want to put a motorbike engine in a car for more power per engine size, i dont know if a dry sump is required due the flat cornering of a car unlike a motorbike which is always following gravity and the pull of the bike, ie cenrofugal force.
